As you know, I like to watch video. Not just because the actor who is in it, or band who play in it. But, because I like to observe. Haha, not the exact meaning of 'observe', but I really like to find out something bad in the video. Like the make-up, dress, suit, or even the expression of the artist. The choreography! I do not forget it, of course, the main thing, the most important when I see a Dance-Battle videos.
In Indonesia, aha I'm starting to compare, the entertainment section is not really booming, instead of boring.
Really. The style is really boring, seldom change. And then, if a band is popular with their current style, then a year after that, still they use that style. The QUALITY, is also low. The notes, the style of performing on stage, and the costume.
For example.
The band is Wali. Please, don't be angry, Wali Lovers, but I really think the quality of the song is bad. Both the note and the lyrics. Take a look of this piece of lyric:
"Apa salahku...Apa salah ibuku..." "Bapak-bapak ibu-ibu siapa yang punya anak bilang aku.."
The arrangement of the song... ugh!
Then, when performing on stage. I'll try to express in three parts.
First, the make-up. Just casual make-up for the band. Fortunately, some singers use the 'real' make-up. It really increase the feeling of the song.
Second, it's about the costume. Band usually use T-Shirt and Jeans. Just that. Really casual. But there's no band that will give different and new style.
And the last is the gesture or 'polah'. When the band is performing in the stage, the style is just 'itu itu aja'. If it's sad song, they sit together, with sad face. When it's happy song, they overreact it with run from one to other stage's section.
Uniquely, Indonesian people commonly LIKE it! LOVE it! Oh, No.
I hope this music industry in Indonesia will have progress to be a better one. Now, I just hear some songs of Indonesian people whom I like. Then I prefer other country's musician, hehe. It's not that I do not love my own country, Indonesia. But I'm still waiting, while see other kind of music in different country.
